Cherish Care has been helping Cambrians since 2008 and is dedicated to providing the best care possible to the town of Cambria and to Northern San Luis Obispo county.

Vikki Hansen, LCSW, the Founder, has been a part of the Cambria community since 1992. In 2008, when she discovered that there were no Assisted Living Homes in Cambria, her compassion for her mother-in-law and love of Cambria led her to open Cherish House, Cambria's first assisted living home.

Vikki then learned that many Cambrians preferred to stay in their own homes but needed in home care giving services in order to do so. She then opened Cherish Care, Cambria's only licensed in-home care agency.

Cherish Care is staffed by trained, compassionate, insured, bonded, security-checked, health-screened professionals with first-aid training. We offer affordable rates and free phone consultations.

Cherish Care is a multi-service agency helping seniors sell their home in order to transition to other living situations. Our goal is truly to have one phone call to us, solve all your problems! All our services are very personalized and hand held.

Comprehensive Services:

• Licensed Real Estate Broker / Coordinator manage disposal of unwanted items, sale of items and staging
• Tagging and inventory of items that will be kept or sold
• Responsible recycling and disposal of toxic items and pharmaceuticals
• Estate sales, antique dealer referrals and sale of valuables
• Garage sales and donations of unwanted items to charity
• Proceeds from sales help pay for home preparation before sale
• Cleaning and repairs of house prior to home sale

Our Growth & Mission

Cherish Care began in 2008 with Cambria's first Assisted Living Home, Cherish House. Since our mission is to always say "YES" to any request from Seniors, we rapidly grew to fulfill unmet needs. In 2009 our In-Home Caregiving Agency, Cherish Care was opened, followed by a Free Placement Agency, and our Home Sale Preparation service.
